WHAT YOU'LL DO
Roles and Responsibilities
- To carry out exclusive environmental audits of vessels and onboard training of ship staff and prepare audit reports.
- Carry out investigations for environmental non-compliance incidents
- Carry out review of environmental data of vessel (TEC-44), review of pollutant data of vessels (TEC-29C data), Ballast Water Treatment System, EGCS (Scrubber), Energy Efficiency devices etc. data of vessels.
- Visit vessels for any inspection (Vessel Manager inspection, inspection for any repairs etc.) as required and for assisting Technical Dept.
- Assist in preparation and amendments of Model plans and Record books
- Assist in preparation of environmental related Training Material
- Assist as required in the Environmental Compliance Department
Required Qualifications
Education:
Class – I Marine Engineer - Certificate of Competency.
Experience:
At least 1 year sailing experience as Chief Engineer.
Past work experience as Class Surveyor / QHSE would be an added advantage.
Specific Business Knowledge:
Good knowledge of environmental regulations, Well averse with company SMS, Accident investigation
