Our rich maritime heritage spans close to 50 years, throughout which we have worked in close partnership with our shipowner clients, engaging in ship management, crew management, and technical services for vessels of all sizes and types.

Aug 1974

Anglo-Eastern is incorporated in Hong Kong.

Dec 1994

Anglo-Eastern welcomes its 50th ship under management.

Aug 1998

Peter Cremers leads a management buy-out of the company.

Nov 2000

Our flagship Anglo-Eastern Maritime Training Centre (AEMTC) is established in Mumbai.

Oct 2001

Anglo-Eastern merges with UK-based Denholm Ship Management. Peter Cremers is appointed chief executive.

Jul 2006

MT Rainbow Quest is welcomed as our 200th ship under management.

Aug 2009

Anglo-Eastern Maritime Academy (AEMA) is founded in Karjat, India.

Sep 2009

MV Saga Spray is welcomed as our 300th ship under management.

Apr 2012

Anglo-Eastern welcomes its 400th ship under management.

Aug 2015

Anglo-Eastern merges with Hong Kong-based Univan Ship Management, resulting in a combined fleet of more than 600 ships under management. Peter Cremers is appointed chairman and Bjorn Hojgaard chief executive.

Oct 2017

Anglo-Eastern undergoes its first rebranding exercise in more than 40 years, introducing newly articulated values and a refreshed visual identity.

Apr 2020

Our head office in Hong Kong relocates to new iconic premises across the harbour in Kowloon Bay.

Jul 2021

Anglo-Eastern Fleet Performance Centre (AEFPC) launched to leverage data in improving overall fleet safety and performance efficiency.

Oct 2021

1st dual-fuel LNG powered vessel under management.

Apr 2022

Anglo-Eastern joins the ‘Maritime Just Transition Task Force’ established at COP26 to pursue a fair and equitable green transition.

May 2022

Anglo-Eastern and Seaspan launch procurement joint venture, Sea Sourcing, to leverage scale in vendor negotiations and enable increased pricing stability.
