Environmental Compliance Manager

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Purpose: For timely compliance with EU-MRV, EU-ETS, FuelEU, UK-MRV, IMO-DCS, USCG-VGP regulations for ~700 ships.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- To make documentation for each ship for EU-MRV, EU-ETS, FuelEU, UK-MRV, IMO-DCS and USCG-VGP compliance when ship comes into management and submit to authorities for approval.
- To review data of each ship of every office for EU-MRV, UK-MRV, IMO-DCS, VGP and take corrective measures every day by communicating with each ship.
- To submit data for each ship for Classification Society, EMSA for EU-MRV, IMO DCS and to USCG for VGP compliance and to see all ships receive certificates which are essential for trading of the ships.
- All other jobs as required from time to time throughout the year including preparation of training materials, assisting with improvements in IT systems, meeting ship staff in office.
Required Qualifications
External: with Ships, Classification Societies, Flag States, US Environmental Protection Agency, various vendors
Internal: All offices.
Education: B.E. Marine Engineer, Class 1 Marine Engineer Certificate of Competency
Experience: At least 1 year sailing experience as Chief Engineer
Specific Business Knowledge: Environmental regulations & compliance
