WHAT YOU'LL DO
Overall leadership for the following:
• Lead the ship management (or crew management) finance team within the corporate accounting team
• Within the ship management (or crew management) business, manage all the HK financial accounting and reporting, financial control, budget, forecasting, statutory reporting and treasury for both third party crew management clients and corporate
• Client Focus:
o Lead the ship management finance team to perform accounting services for third party crew management clients;
o Ensure timely and proper periodic statement of accounts are provided to clients
o Client fund management including review of funding level
• Corporate Focus:
o Management of the preparation of month-end reports and variance analysis
o Provide feedbacks on monthly report queries from group accounts
o Plan and manage annual forecast and budget
o Liaise with external auditors for annual audit of the statutory accounts
o Handle all taxation matters to ensure compliance with tax regulations
o Cash flow management
o Financial control over the group’s business transformation project
o Review the accounting process and align with project owners for implementation
• Control Focus:
o Review and formulate accounting procedures, set internal control guidelines for ship management business
o Assist in the development and application of financial reporting systems throughout the company
• Staff Focus:
o Team and talent development, provide supervision and support to team members
o Recruit, develop and coach team members
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
• Professional accounting qualifications
• Big-4 auditing background is an advantage.
• At least 8 years of commercial financial control and reporting experience within large and complex organizations
• At least 3-4 years team management experience as a finance manager
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and with flexibility to cope the changes.
• Excellent communication skills and inter-personal skills
• High level of integrity
• Able to motivate the team in producing quality reports timely
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Good command of and fluent in English, Cantonese and/or Mandarin.
