WHAT YOU'LL DO
1. Supervises the Recruitment team in promoting the company as an employer of choice for seafarers and sourcing suitable sea staff to meet all fleets manning requirements.
2. Closely coordinates with MPD Managers for seafarer requirements for next three months and proposes qualified applicants for their assessment/approval.
3.Advertises for job opening in print/electronic
4.Updates himself and the team on the company’s vessel types, salary levels, qualification, experience, and technical competence requirements for matching of candidates vis-à-vis industry availability and requirements.
5. Maintains a good industry network to gather information on crew salaries and terms being offered by competition or any other issues affecting seafarers availability and provides management with industry report at weekly management meeting and market salary level of all ranks and ship types on quarterly basis.
6. Develops new ideas for attracting applicants based on trends, industry feedback and new applicants feedback and puts these forward to management via monthly report and/ or during meetings for consideration.
7. Monitors the Recruitment Officers’ production and contribution to the team while pushing for more aggressive recruitment strategies.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year course graduate, maritime preferred
- Minimum 3 years Junior Engineer sailing experience
