Ship Agency Disbursement Accountant

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Ship Agency Disbursement Supervisor will oversee the timely and accurate recording of Ship Agency payable transactions based on valid, complete and duly-approved supporting documents.
- Ensure Ship Agency accounting entries follow and reflect the required Accounting dimensions and proper Account Codes for both Ship Agency and Ship Books via counter-vendor bills.
- Checks for proper withholding tax applications against vendor payments.
- Ascertain the validity of Ship Agency transactions during vendor invoice reviews based on duly-approved, complete and valid supporting documents.
- Ensure that vendor invoices entries in the Ship Agency/Ship books comply with the Accounting dimensions and account codes requirement and completed as of set cut-off dates for monthly closing purposes.
- Supervise team to meet the 5 working days lead-time for invoice processing.
- Work closely with vendors, Crewing, Crew Welfare, and Processing Departments for payment transactions requiring reconciliation and clarifications.
Required Qualifications

Degree in Accountancy

Minimum 2 years experience as Accounting Supervisor or Team Leader doing review and analysis of books or experience in reviewing transactional processing.

Excellent inter-personal

Analytical thinker with excellent communication skills and strong business acumen

Excellent command of both English and Filipino is essential

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is an advantage

Self-motivated, independent, proactive and adaptable

Able to work in fast paced environment
